Trade Mission: National Western Stock Show
The U.S. market makes up 100 per cent of Saskatchewan’s international live cattle exports. In 2021, Saskatchewan’s exports of live cattle increased by 25 per cent in number (105,707 cattle) and 15 per cent in value, reaching $152 million.
Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) invites you to participate in a trade mission to The National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in Denver, Colorado to meet buyers of genetics, live cattle, and key market players in the US.
The NWSS is the premier livestock, rodeo, and horse show in the nation, serving agricultural producers and consumers throughout the world. A nationally recognized western heritage and entertainment event, the stock show hosts one of the world’s richest regular season professional rodeos, one of the country’s largest horse shows, and Colorado’s largest western trade show, attracting attendance numbers over 700,000 visitors each year. The show consists of a wide assortment of events in addition to the tradeshow component. STEP Members will have the opportunity to meet buyers of genetics, feed, live cattle, equipment/technology, and key market players in the US. STEP is working with the federal Trade Commissioner Service to help coordinate B2B meeting opportunities at the International Business Lounge. As STEP looks to increase our activity in the livestock sector, this mission is exploratory and as such, we along with our members who join will be walking the show.
To participate in this mission (STEP members only), please complete the Mission Registration form and send to sfroese@sasktrade.sk.ca by December 15, 2024.
