Vermette Wood Preservers Ltd (VWP) is a third-generation Métis family business celebrating 50 years in the wood preservation industry. VWP exports oil-based, penta pressure-treated agricultural fence posts into the mid-western United States and the Canadian Prairie Provinces. In addition to agricultural fence posts, VWP is the second largest supplier of penta-treated utility poles to Saskatchewan's electrical utility corporation (SaskPower) and is the exclusive supplier of bridge piles, bridge timbers to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure. Vermette Wood Preservers is the largest Saskatchewan manufacturer of bulk and retail firewood and colored landscaping mulch. VWP also provides custom-treating services to various customers throughout Western Canada.

Current Products & Services:

Products and services include treated utility poles, foundation piling, bridge piles, bridge timbers, guardrail posts, guardrail blocks, highway signposts, agricultural fence posts and agricultural fence rails. Vermette Wood Preservers also manufactures seasoned firewood and landscaping mulch. Custom treating services are also available.
