Media Release – STEP Announces Finalists for 2022 STEP Export Award

REGINA – Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) is pleased to announce four finalists for the 2022 STEP Export Award.  The winner of the Award will be unveiled at the STEP Annual General Meeting and Member Reception on September 29, 2022 in Saskatoon.  

The export award, sponsored by Export Development Canada (EDC), recognizes STEP members for their achievements and success on the international stage.  The 2022 finalists are: 

       – Algarithm Ingredients, Saskatoon
       – Hydraulitechs, Saskatoon
       – Skillshark Software Inc., Saskatoon
       – Wilger Industries, Saskatoon

Minister of Trade and Export Development, the Hounorable Jeremy Harrison noted that these businesses represent the broad diversity of Saskatchewan industry. “The women and men who own or run companies that sell goods and services outside of our borders, like these four finalists, are the backbone of our economy,” Harrison said. “It follows that any award that recognizes excellence in exporting would be among our most important.  It acknowledges and celebrates the innovation, the courage, and international business acumen that it takes to play and succeed on the international stage.”

President and CEO Chris Dekker added that “in these turbulent days of worldwide pandemic, regional conflict, and growing protectionism, it is more important than ever to honour and empower businesses that have faced the risk and worked tirelessly for their export success.”
