Media Release – Redekop Celebrated as Saskatchewan’s Leading Exporter

Regina, Saskatchewan — Redekop Celebrated as Saskatchewan’s Leading Exporter

Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) awarded the 2024 STEP Export Award to Redekop Manufacturing at their Annual General Meeting today in Saskatoon.

Based in Martensville, Redekop Manufacturing designs custom solutions for the agricultural and construction industries. The company’s products include the MAV Straw Chopper, Seed Control Unit, Blade Kits, and the KAS Pre-Cleaner. The majority of Redekop sales are exports with all four products being sold in Australia, the US, and Europe. Sales to South America have just begun and the company believes this market will grow significantly over the next two years.

Chris Dekker, STEP President & CEO, noted that the STEP Export Award is recognition of export excellence by the export industry.

“With our economy so reliant on our ability to sell products and services in international markets, it is important to acknowledge and celebrate Saskatchewan companies that have the courage and business acumen to succeed on the global marketplace”, Dekker said.  “Redekop has been committed to providing innovative new technologies across the globe for 24 years.”

Reviewed by a committee of Saskatchewan export business leaders, Redekop Manufacturing received top marks for their high level of performance in introducing new products and services into international markets.

Also recognized at the event were two 2024 STEP Export Award finalists: Naturally Amped and Wendell Estate Honey.

“This year’s finalists are indicative of the incredible diversity of Saskatchewan exports”, Dekker concluded.

Sponsored by Export Development Canada (EDC), the Export Award recognizes excellence and performance by STEP members in export markets. As Canada’s export credit agency, EDC helps Canadian companies of all sizes and sectors go, grow, and succeed in international business. EDC offers financing to exporters and their customers, connects Canadian businesses with suppliers and retailers in global markets, and insures investments abroad against political risk.
