Media Release – 2016 STEP Exporter of the Year – Finalists Announced

Regina, Saskatchewan – Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2016 STEP Exporter of the Year Award.  The winner of the STEP Award will be announced at the STEP Trade Conference and 20 Year Anniversary to be held on October 19, 2016 in Regina.   

The STEP Exporter of the Year Award, sponsored by Export Development Canada (EDC), acknowledges STEP members for their achievements and success in tackling world markets.  EDC is Canada’s export credit agency offering innovative commercial solutions to help Canadian exporters and investors expand their international business.  

The finalists for the 2016 STEP Exporter of the Year Award are:  

Carrier Forest Products Ltd. – Big River, Saskatchewan
Ceres Global Ag Corp.  – Northgate, Saskatchewan
Crestline Coach Ltd. – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
O & T Farms Ltd. – Regina, Saskatchewan
Vendasta Technologies, Inc. – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

President and CEO Chris Dekker noted that STEP is privileged to showcase these members and celebrate their success during the 20th year of operations.

“The quality of the finalists for this award is a true testament to the strength of our members’ exporting capacity,” Dekker said. “These members have been very successful in driving the provincial economy and the calibre of finalists is a strong reflection of the innovative, dynamic, and forward thinking companies that conduct international business from Saskatchewan.” 

Applications for the STEP Exporter of the Year Award were reviewed by a Selection Committee comprised of business leaders involved in providing assistance to exporters.
