Trade Mission: SIAL Paris

STEP will organize an Ag commodities trade mission to SIAL Paris and to a second market, the United Kingdom. One of the largest agri-food trade shows in the world, SIAL Paris attracts over 265,000 trade visitors from over 200 countries. The Canada- European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) provides STEP members with competitive and preferential access to the EU market. The Canada–United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement provides continuity, predictability, and stability for trade between Canada and the UK. Both markets have been historically good for Saskatchewan agriculture commodities capping out at $153 Million CAD and $162 Million CAD respectively in 2020. This mission will allow STEP members to meet with and grow/establish connections with key importers in Europe.
