Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership (STEP) is seeking nominees to fill four (4) Member Director positions that will be up for election this fall. The open positions are for either regular or associate members and are three-year terms expiring at the 2027 Annual General Meeting.

The current Governance Policy provides a strong role in the STEP Board’s own leadership and management of its succession, renewal, and recruitment of Board Directors. Board of Director candidates are asked to self-identify what competencies, background and skills they would bring to the STEP Board.

The process also includes the important consideration of such fundamental criteria as a stated commitment to STEP’s organizational values, an absence of major conflict of interest, local and international reputation, high personal integrity, a track-record of achievement and dedicated commitment and focus to the necessary time required to serve on the Board. Nominees must be Members in “good standing” with STEP.

In terms of process, the STEP Governance & Human Resources Committee will oversee the Board member recruitment, nomination and succession process. The objective is to ensure there is a continuity of qualified Board members to govern the organization.

Prospective member candidates are asked to complete and forward an application form, skills matrix document (links below), and a detailed biography prior to July 17, 2024 to Nicole Grande at ngrande@sasktrade.sk.ca
