Media Release – Algae Processer Named Saskatchewan’s Exporter of the Year

SASKATOON, SK – Algarithm Ingredients was awarded the 2022 Export Award by Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) at their Annual General Meeting held today in Saskatoon.

Algarithm produces ocean-friendly, vegan Omega-3 ingredients derived from micro-algae used in supplements, nutraceuticals, food, beverages and childhood/infant nutrition products. Their products make the consumption of Omega-3s easy, enjoyable and eco-friendly through a patented process, innovative delivery methods and novel applications. In addition to production and sales expertise, Algarithm offers clients service in the areas of custom formulation, marketing, co-manufacturing and private labeling.

Chris Dekker, STEP President & CEO noted that the STEP Export Award is recognition of export excellence by the export industry.  “On behalf of Saskatchewan exporters, it is a privilege to showcase international success and innovation,” Dekker said.  “Algarithm Ingredients and our three finalists showcase the incredible diversity of provincial exports.”

Reviewed by a committee of Saskatchewan business leaders, Algarithm Ingredients received top marks for their high level of performance in introducing new products and services into international markets.  Algarithm has significantly increased their export sales, maintains a high ratio of export sales to total sales, and has had a positive impact on the provincial economy through job creation.
