Established by John Wendell in the 1930's, Wendell Honey remains family-owned, but has evolved into a modern honey producer. Wendell Honey selects and breeds their own bee stock and intensively manages their hives to maintain the health of their bees for optimum honey production. Every drop of Wendell Estate Honey is harvested on Wendell Honey Farm, packaged fresh on the farm and allowed to naturally micro-crystallize in the jar. Nothing is added and nothing is removed from the natural prairie blossom honey. The result is a brilliant white honey with a fresh floral aroma, delicate flavour and incomparably smooth texture, packaged in beautiful top-quality jars. In 2018 Wendell Estate launched a new product line of organic honey, Wendell Estate Organic, sourced from a single-family farm in Northern Saskatchewan. Wendell Estate’s premium honey won the gold medal at the 2019 World Beekeeping Awards in the soft-set honey category. At the 2020 London International Honey Awards Wendell Estate’s conventional and organic product lines represented Canada by being the only North American honeys to be awarded Platinum.
