For Saskatchewan Exporters
Market Diversification Program (MDP)
MDP supports the domestic and international marketing efforts of Saskatchewan exporters. Administered by STEP, the program provides financial assistance to help companies enter new markets or return to a new market within 24 months of their initial visit, where minimal or no sales have been achieved.
Open to Saskatchewan Companies. The Market Diversification Program ends March 31, 2028.
Note: Activities taking place in the United States are not eligible for funding under this program.
Product Modification/Certification Support Program
The Product Modification/Certification Support Program is a temporary funding initiative designed to help Saskatchewan exporters adapt their products or obtain certifications required for new market diversification activities. This support is intended to reduce barriers to entry by offsetting the cost of hiring qualified, third-party consultants or service providers.
Open to Saskatchewan Companies. The Product Modification/Certification Support Program ends March 31, 2028.
Business Advisory Services Funding Program
The Business Advisory Services Program is a temporary funding initiative to help Saskatchewan exporters access professional consulting services that strengthen their capacity for market diversification. Eligible projects may include support in areas such as strategic planning, technology or digital transformation, financial operations, human resources (HR), and/or business efficiency improvements.
Open to Saskatchewan Companies. The Business Advisory Services Program ends March 31, 2028.
STEP Member US Market Program
U.S. Market Funding Program
The U.S. Market Funding Program supports the U.S. marketing efforts of STEP Members. The program provides financial assistance to help companies enter the U.S. as a new market or return to the U.S. within 24 months of their initial visit, where minimal or no sales have been achieved.
Open to STEP Members only.
Premium Member Incoming Buyer Funding
As a Premium Membership benefit, STEP members who are able to demonstrate new business opportunities by inviting a buyer to Saskatchewan, will be eligible to apply for funding through the Premium Member Incoming Buyer Program.
