This mission is open to exporting companies in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
DEFSEC Atlantic is a defence exhibition focusing on aerospace, defence, security, and marine industries with a strong B2B focus, providing opportunities to connect with defence prime contractors, integrators, government stakeholders, and other organizations involved in Canadian and global defence and shipbuilding supply chains. The show is particularly relevant for Prairie manufacturers and technology companies, Indigenous-led businesses and organizations, academic and research institutions, and organizations pursuing defence and dual-use opportunities in areas such as advanced manufacturing, machining and fabrication, electronics, cyber, sensors, training and simulation, construction and infrastructure, research and development, and related technologies.
With support from partners in Alberta, Manitoba, and PrairiesCan, STEP is launching the Prairies Defence Hub at DEFSEC Atlantic 2026. The hub will feature approximately 1,200 sq. ft. of professionally branded shared meeting space located on the main show floor, connecting defence suppliers, academic and applied research partners, Indigenous organizations, and other participants from across the Prairies.
Subject to alignment with national defence spending programs tied to the event, STEP may also facilitate a B2B networking social on a cost-recovery basis through sponsorship and/or walker program fees, bringing together defence prime contractors, international buyers, and Saskatchewan stakeholders to advance supply-chain partnerships, Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) opportunities, and export sales in the aerospace, defence, and marine sectors.
