Trade Mission: CANSEC – Canada’s Global Defence & Security Trade Show

CANSEC is Canada’s largest defence and security trade show, bringing together prime contractors, OEMs, government buyers, and supply chain partners seeking qualified Canadian suppliers and procurement-ready solutions—making it a strategic platform for Saskatchewan exporters targeting defence and security markets.

STEP will lead a trade mission to CANSEC 2026, delivering a structured walker program designed to connect STEP members directly with defence contractors, government services contractors, and end users pursuing government procurement opportunities. The mission will also include participation in the B2B Supply Chain Connect program, enabling Saskatchewan companies to meet key buyers and organizations managing defence cooperation procurement under the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) program.

In partnership with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Trade and Export Development and PrairiesCan, STEP will facilitate a B2B networking reception to strengthen relationships with national industry stakeholders. The mission will further support international market development by engaging EU supply chain buyers, arranging future B2B meetings linked to Eurosatory 2026 and MSPO 2026, and recruiting buyers for an incoming trade mission aligned with the Saskatchewan Aerospace Defence Forum in 2027.
