Trade Mission: National Heavy Equipment Show 2026

The National Heavy Equipment Show (NHES) is a national industry event that brings together contractors, equipment rental firms, dealers, fleet owners, and manufacturers from across Canada’s construction and heavy equipment sectors. The show provides a relevant platform for Western Canadian companies seeking to strengthen interprovincial supply chains and pursue domestic market opportunities.

STEP will organize and lead an outgoing trade mission to NHES 2026, securing a dedicated booth to serve as a central meeting point and collective showcase for Western Canadian capabilities. The mission will support companies, associations, and organizations from Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba active in steel fabrication, advanced manufacturing, and construction or heavy equipment and machinery, including firms affected by recent U.S. tariffs and counter-tariffs. STEP will provide coordinated support with booth bookings, liaison with show organizers, show services, and setup and takedown logistics. A structured walker program will be developed, and STEP will organize targeted meetings on the show floor to help participants engage directly with prospective customers and partners.

In addition, STEP will facilitate a dedicated B2B networking event to connect mission participants with contractors, equipment rental firms, dealers, fleet owners, and other end customers. This activity will support the development of interprovincial sales channels, new partnerships, and expanded export opportunities within the Canadian market.
